Zamboni Machine Trucked In Fix Olympic Ice

After Monday nights delay during the 500 meter speed skating events, due to broken ice resurfacers, a special trip was made to truck in a Zamboni brand resurfacer from Calgary to fix the ice at the Vancouver Olympics. It turns out that the Olympic committee for these ice events chose to go with a Canadian based resurfacing company instead of the Zamboni brand to cut costs, even though their budget allowed them to spend the money. Zamboni is the most popular and reliable company for ice resurfacing, so much so that they have been used in past winter Olympics like those held in Torino and Lillihammer. The Zamboni is also environmentally friendly for those who were concerned, it is a battery powered electric machine. Many contenders are very upset and some even dropped out of the competition.
