After the Samsung Mobile 500 was cancelled due to ran yesterday, they were finally able to get the entire race in this afternoon. And to the results: Most people would have counted him out after just having knee surgery for an ACL injury, taking the checked flag was Denny Hamlin. Amazingly this is the second race he has won since his surgery, and the first time he has ever won at Texas Motor Speedway. Jeff Gordon led a large portion of the race but was involved in a wreck towards the end that also included Tony Stewart, Paul Menard, Carl Edwards and many others. Hamlin was able to hold off Jimmie Johnson and cross the finish line.
Racing action continues next Sunday from Talledega for the Aarons 499.
