Toyota To Halt Sales Of Certain Vehicles

With the recall of several models of Toyota vehicles, the car company has decided to stop sales of 8 car and truck models. The most recent recall is for gas pedals that are sticking causing vehicles to continue to accelerate out of control with the potential to cause life threatening injuries. They are even halting production of vehicles in 5 auto plants from Texas to Canada until they can fix the problem. The models that are sidelined include the popular Camry and Corolla, currently the recall includes 2.3 million vehicles. Toyota said "it is unaware of any accidents or injuries due to the pedal problems associated with the recall but could not rule them out for sure."

Other vehicles that production and sales have halted on include; 09-10 Rav4, 09-10 Matrix, 05-10 Avalon, 09-10 Corolla, 07-10 Camry, 2010 Highlander, 07-10 Tundra and 08-10 Sequoia.
