16 year old Abby Sunderland has been working on being the youngest person to circumnavigate the world in a sailboat. The record for sailing around the world is 210 days. Abby was last heard from at 4 a.m. she reported 30 foot swells but no problems. An hour later she activated her emergency beacons and hasn't been heard from since. The bad thing is that she is currently 2000 miles from both Australia and Africa. Once the beacons went off Australia sent out boats and airplanes but it would still take about a day to reach the area they believe her to be in.
