Twilight Eclipse Breaks Records

Last night was the midnight showing of the new movie 'Twilight, Eclipse' and the night set records. Preliminary studio estimates are saying it was a $30 million night! The previous Twilight record was $26.3 million for 'New Moon'. They are estimating that by the 4th of July, Eclipse will hit $150 million!

With her Number 1 hit 'Tik Tok" a song about drinking and partying, and an image that screams party girl- Kesha wants to be taken seriously. The 23 year old pop artist who has has 3 top ten songs says she has been misrepresented. She thinks people expect her to be crazy, with a drug and drinking problem, and goes clubbing all the time. Kesha says she is none of that, she says if she wasn't responsible and hardworking she wouldn't be where she's at.

Gulf Oil Spill Becomes Xbox Game

Independant game makers are becoming creative with the oil spill in the Gulf Coast, they are giving gamers the chance to stop the leak. "Crisis in the Gulf" is a game that challenges players to stop an oil leak coming from an oil rig owned by 'DP". Using torpedos, cannons and other weapons, the goal is to shoot globs of oil from the ocean.
The game is available on the Xbox Live marketplace, the demo can be downloaded for free, the whole game can be downloaded for 80 points.

19th Duggar Baby Finally Comes Home

TLC's reality TV show '19 Kids and Counting' got their newest addition last year on December 10th. When mother Michelle Duggar had to go in for an emergency c-section, little baby Josie was born at only 1 pound 6 ounces. Since December Josie has been in NICU, that is until June 25th when she was finally able to go home. She was going to come home earlier but 12 of her siblings came down with the chicken pox, so it really wasn't safe for her to be there. Now weighing in at 9 pounds 1 ounce, baby Josie seems to be doing well.

Lauryn Hill, know best for her time with the group "The Fugees", has taken the last 11 years off from music. No one has heard much from her or why she stopped recording. Finally coming forward on a radio interview, Hill explained why she got out music. Basically at the time she was making music she felt she needed to do some growing, and she wasn't happy with the recording industry. She also took time out to start a family, Hill has 5 children with her long time boyfriend, Rohan Marley. Rohan is the son to reggae legend Bob Marley.

Gosselin's New Tattoo

Jon Gosselin got himself new ink, a huge tattoo of a Korean dragon on his back. The dragon is holding a scroll with the names and birth dates of his 8 children, but there is also another name and date tattooed on his back. The date is 4-8-10 and Korean translators either say that the extra name says Erin (but because letters are very similar) it could also say Ellen. Which 23 year old Ellen Ross is his current girlfriend. Hmmmmmmm. The tattoo took Jon 14 hours in a two week period to get completed.

Kellogg has voluntarily chosen to recall four of their popular cereals, noting a waxy odor and flavor from the package liners. Some people have complained, saying the smell made them vomit; while the health threat is low it is definitely a problem they want to correct. Harry Potter Ride, Not For Everyone

Fan of the Harry Potter movies and books have been super excited to make their way to Universal Studios to check out the newest attraction, "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey." However some fans are not fans of the ride or the theme park. It turns the ride is not for everyone... issues have been coming up regarding larger girthed people not being able to ride the ride. Universal anticipated this dilemma by placing test seats outside the ride. Passenger must be able to click all three safety buckles to go on the ride.
Harry Potter fan, Jeff Guillaume of Michigan is upset at the park because at 265 pounds he couldn't go on the ride. Other fan, Banks Lee took his inability to fit on the ride (at 310 pounds) as a challenge to himself to start a diet with a blog, tracking his weight loss journey to go on the ride.

Mariah Carey Sued By Vet

Mariah Carey is the proud owner of three Jack Russel Terriers, and she does a good job of keeping them maintained and pampered by the vet. So much so that in the course of a month Carey rang up a bill of over $37,000! She apparently uses the services of an up-scale New York vet that makes house calls to celebs, and received a bill for $37,800 which she only paid $8200 back. While sources wouldn't reveal what kind of treatments the pups received but back in May one of Carey's Dogs gave birth to a little pup.

Now the vet has sued Mariah for the remaining balance of her bill aprox $30,000!

When 67 year old Gail Posner passed away in March many people where shocked with how she allotted her fortune in her will. She left her 3 favorite dogs a $3 million dollar trust fund to pay for their expenses as live in a $8.3 million mansion and are cared for by house staff. Ms. Posner also left her housekeepers, personal aides, and body guards $26 million and some also get to live rent free in her mansion as well. Normally this would seem just a little odd, but Ms. Posners son thinks its more than a little odd, maybe that is because he was only left $1 million in the will.
He thinks that her staff brain washed her into changing her will for their benefit, so now he has filed a lawsuit against them.

Is Jesse James Moving To Be Closer To Sandra?

Bike builder Jesse James is moving to Texas, this rumor was confirmed by his lawyer. At the end of the month Jesse James is permanently moving to Austin Texas. Jesse says the move "is needed to handle business matters and other personal matters." The reason this seems interesting is that James's ex, Sandra Bullock, also owns a home is Austin. While he didn't make any comments about if his move is related to Bullock, a person can't help but wonder if they are going to try and work things out.

Slinky Dogs New Voice For Toy Story 3

With the release of Toy Story 3 this weekend many people have been curious who was going to be the new voice for the character Slinky Dog. In the first 2 movies Slinky was played by comedian Jim Varney, best known for his movie Ernest Goes to Camp, sadly Jim passed away in 2000. So the search was on to find someone with the same personality to carry on the character. Producer Lee Unkrick says that they were very fortunate to find Blake Clark, to play the role. The name might not sound familiar but he has been a bunch of movies that you've seen. Alot of his movie roles were on Adam Sandler films like "The Waterboy"
You'll have your chance to see if he does the role well, because Toy Story 3 is in theaters this weekend.

Man Finds Money In Doggy Doo

Steve Wilson, a professional dog waste remover for 'Doody Calls Pet Waste Removal' was working at a clients house when he noticed there was money sticking out of some doggy doo doo. So what does Steve do? he collects the money, cleaned and sanitized the bills, he noticed that the bills were a little chewed up but everything was intact. Being the good honest man that he is, Steve bagged up the money which turned out to be $58 and returned it to the client he was working for.
*Yes there is all sorts of bad jokes and puns that can come from this story, but think about this... If you went through that much work to clean up some dollar bills would you be honest enough to return it to the owner? *

Swift Holds Marathon Fan Meet & Greet

Taylor Swift told the public that she would host a 13 hour meet-and-greet session on June 13th, because after all her favorite number is 13, and she didn't disappoint. This fan session was held as part of CMA Fest, and all by herself she attracted 10,000 fans of which 2,000 fans were actually able to meet Taylor. She even did a small performance during the day. However her plan of meeting everyone in 13 hours just didn't work. She started meeting with fans at 8am and realized that she wouldn't be able to get to everyone before the cut off time of 9pm, so what does Taylor do? Taylor extends the party another 2 hours! For 15 hours Taylor hung out with her fans, what other celeb would do that?

Minnesota Asks For Drivers To Brake For Turtles

Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources is asking for help from drivers as turtles move to their nesting grounds. We are at the start of the nesting time for turtles which means many of the shelled critters are making their way from their winter homes to their warmer summer nesting ground. This move means that many turtles will be crossing roads to get to where they need to be. The DNR asks that motorist slow down and drive around turtles. They say that turtles are happiest if they are allowed to cross under their own power, but if you need to assist them, keep them pointed in the direction they where headed in, and get them across the shortest way possible. Minnesota is the home to 9 turtle species, some of which are protected.

Has Kate Hudson Found Her Muse?

Actress Kate Hudson has hooked up with celebs of all makes.... musicians, athletes, actors... but it looks like she's got her eye on another musician. She recently flew to Paris to spend the weekend with, Matthew Bellamy, the lead singer to the British band Muse. She took in their concert on Saturday then spent Sunday walking around the city together.

Jimmy Dean Dies At 81 Years Old

Country music singer and sausage company founder Jimmy Dean died at 81 years old on Sunday. He passed away in his Virginia home. Known for his big hit in 1961, 'Big Bad John' Dean also starred on his own TV show called "The Jimmy Dean Show' which aired from 1963 to 1966. Vowing not to be a celebrity that wastes his money and dies with nothing, Dean started his own business, 'Jimmy Dean Sausage Company'. He sold his meat company to Sara Lee Corp. in 1984. Since then built his dream home and lived in peace.

Spilled Drink Sets Off Alarm

Earlier this week we heard that Lindsay Lohans alcohol monitoring bracelet went off after the MTV Movie Awards at an after party. Mom, Dina, has now stepped in saying that Lindsay didn't have any alcohol, the bracelet went off because someone spilled their drink on her leg. Lohan is still awaiting her latest trial date on July 6th. Dina once again steps in to say that Lindsay is doing fine, in fact she in the process of deciding on whether or not to be on the next season of Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump. Mom also says though that Lindsay is very busy because she also has 3 movies in production... yet the name of any of those movies couldn't be given, hmmm.

Jolie To Play Cleopatra

A new film is in the works, 'Cleopatra', and who has the role been designed for? None other than the gorgeous Angelina Jolie. Producer Scutt Rudlin has been working on this project since 2006 and has developed the role for and with Angelina Jolies help. The last big name to play Cleopatra was Elizabeth Taylor in 1963 which was the highest grossing film of that year. So be looking forward to this new flick!

16 Year Old Solo Sailor May Be Lost At Sea

16 year old Abby Sunderland has been working on being the youngest person to circumnavigate the world in a sailboat. The record for sailing around the world is 210 days. Abby was last heard from at 4 a.m. she reported 30 foot swells but no problems. An hour later she activated her emergency beacons and hasn't been heard from since. The bad thing is that she is currently 2000 miles from both Australia and Africa. Once the beacons went off Australia sent out boats and airplanes but it would still take about a day to reach the area they believe her to be in.

This whole week is dedicated to our Automotive Professionals, our Mechanics, the people that keep out cars going down the road every day. You probably don't think about them until something goes wrong with your vehicle, and then you're probably not happy that you have to go see them, simply because your vehicle being out of service is a pain. But our Mechanics are in one of the hardest working professions... not only are they wrench turners, but with today's technology they also have to be electricians, computer programmers and miracle workers.
I encourage you all to stop by your shop and show appreciation to your technician, maybe drop off some yummy treats to make their day or just pop in to say 'Thank You'. I've grown up around the automotive world and know that Tech's appreciate a pat on the back every once in a while.

Larry Kings Wife Recovering After Overdose

On May 28 911 was called from Shawn Kings home, her father found her unresponsive in her bed. It appears she overdosed on either anxiety or anti-depressant pills. While some are saying this was not a suicide attempt police did find new prescription bottles that were empty, a note saying she took the pills intentionally, and that she wished to be buried in Utah.

*I'm not sure how you don't get a suicide attempt out of that. *

Lately Larry and Shawn King have had a roller coaster marriage, with filing for divorce then deciding to stay together. Shawn in making a recovery from her overdose.

Lohan's Alcohol Monitor Reports Violation

A judge is ruling that Lindsey Lohan violated the terms of her bail when her alcohol monitoring bracelet went off after the MTV Movie Awards. While details have not been released on why the alarm went off, Lohan is now scheduled to be back in court on July 6th, if things go bad for Lohan she could actually see jail time.

GM Gets Bit By Recall Bug

With memories of the big Toyota recalls not that far behind us GM has now issued a recall that affects 1.5 million vehicles from the model years 2006 to 2009. The recall is for the heated windshield washer system. They have found instances where that feature has caused fires inside the vehicle. This is the 2nd recall for this problem, as the first attempt did not eliminate the hazard. The recall affects cars, trucks, suv's and cross over vehicles. So what is GM's solution to the problem, they are going to unplug the module that controls the heated windshield washer feature which will disable it.

Van Der Sloot Returns To Scene Of Murder

Yesterday Joran Van Der Sloot allegedly admitted to killing 21 year old Flores in his hotel room. It is also being said that as part of his confession he is going with police back to the hotel to show them exactly what happened. Some reports are saying that the confession came after a long rough interrogation process, and it may have been forced. Either way it is hard to beat the video footage of Joran and Flores entering his hotel room.

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne says he wants to donate his body to science after he passes away. He thinks that scientists will find something interesting if they study him because it is amazing that he has lived 61 years with all the abuse he has thrown at it. He says that for 40 years it was one long party. Man Steals Dirty Diapers... Ewwww!

Making Wisconsin not-so-proud...this article was on msn.com. A Stevens Point man was arrested for breaking into a house last September, the homeowner was able to detain him until the police arrived. When he was searched they found six dirty diapers in his pockets and a set of burglary tools. He apparently broke into the house because he likes to wear diapers and thought the house would have some. When the police asked if he intentionally stole the dirty diapers, he said "yes".

Ewww. Luckily the man has been sentenced to 30 months probation, 200 hours community service and has to have a psychiatric examination.

Tiger Woods Hits Three Fans During Tournament

While playing at the Memorial Tournament in Dublin Ohio, Tiger Woods was having a rough day. Tiger ended up hitting three spectators with golf balls! The first time was on his first swing on the first hole. he hit a guy in the neck. The second time was on the second hole, he hit a 19 year old guy in the leg. The third time was on the 15th hole, he hit another guy in the hand. Tiger apologized to the fans and gave them each an autographed glove. Tiger went on to finish in a tie for 19th, his worst finish at this tournament since 2002.

Penguins Need Help Flushing Toilets

The NHL team Pittsburgh Penguins are nearing the completion of their new stadium called the Consol Energy Center. But with any new arena or stadium the contractors building the arena need to test all of the toilet and urinals and they have to do it all simultaneously. So the Penguins are calling on the help of students to be a part of the grand flushing. The June 10th event is called 'Student Flush' or flush-apalooza. There will be 400 flushers and construction workers on hand to make sure everything "goes down" ok.

Van Der Sloot Turned Over To Peru Officials

After fleeing to Chile from Peru, Joran van der Sloot was picked up on his international warrant for the murder of a 21 year old woman. The woman was found in Joran's hotel room with her neck broke. Joran said he met the woman in the casino and that was it, but cameras show van der Sloot and the woman going from the casino to his hotel sometime after dawn.

Maximum sentence in Peru for murder is 35 years, and he will go on trial.

Joran has a shaky past as he is the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba 5 years ago.

Lady Gaga Is Gaga For Taylor Swift

In a recent interview with 'Our Country" Lady Gaga was asked who she is embarrassed to like.

Gaga replied, "That Taylor Swift song? You Belong With Me? Oh my God! When it comes on the radio, I sing it so loud." Of course after that Gaga had to explain that she meant no disrespect to Taylor, she not embarrassed to like her, she's embarrassed to sing the song at the top of her lungs. Gaga continued on saying that Taylor is lovely, beautiful and a great songwriter.

* For being complete opposites it is neat to see that she can respect and even enjoy the different genre.

Gwen Stefani and hubby Gavin Rossdale agreed that you only turn 4 once, so they spared no expense on their oldest kids birthday party. Kingston turned 4 on May 26th and celebrated with 100 friends, a full menu of finger food, cake, cotton candy machine, face painters, super heroes, birds, bouncy castles and much more.

*There is NO way I would spend that much on a birthday party even if I had it to spend. Dude a 4 year old is so young they won't even remember what went on. If you had that kind of money what would you do for a party?*

Rue McClanahan Dies

The sexy diva of "Golden Girls" has passed away, Rue McClanahan died this morning at about 1 am from a stroke. She played on the 80's tv show The Golden Girls along with Betty White and Estelle Getty, her character was Blanche Devereaux. Rue was a breast cancer survivor since 1997 and had a heart bypass surgery in 2009.

Remember 5 years ago the big story of Natalee Holloway disappearing while on a class trip to Aruba? Remember the prime suspect was a shady Dutchman named Joran van der Sloot? And remember how he was arrested and questioned for her disappearance and assumed murder? He was able to worm his was out of conviction on that case due to lack of evidence and other legal issues. But now there is an international arrest warrant out for him, he has been suspected in the the murder of another woman! He is wanted for the murder of a 21 year old woman in a Lima Peru hotel room, she was stabbed to death.

Here is the creepy part, the murder in Peru happened 5 years to the day from when Natalee Holloway disappeared. Coincidence? I think not.

Mayer Cancels Tour Due To Illness

John Mayer was out on tour in Europe and just performed in Copenhagen on Sunday but had to cancel his show for last Monday night. He has also cancelled all remaining shows this week in Europe which were all sold out, he will not be rescheduling and told ticket holders to get a refund. On his website he said he will be returning to the US to recover with doctors care. He said he is still planning on performing in Charlotte North Carolina on July 16.

What John didn't say is what was causing this illness, if I hear any details I will pass them along, or if you hear of anything- email me what you know.

Lady Gaga Opens Up To Larry King

Last night Gaga was a guest on The Larry King Show, and he asked lots of interesting questions and even got her to open up about Michael Jackson. Apparently Gaga was suppose to be the opening act for the the 'This Is It' tour, and said she may have even performed with Michael during the show. Gaga also talked about her health and her scare with Lupus.
