On Wednesday a new hospital in Leavenworth got it's first visitor... a Deer! The whitetale deer wandered through the automatic doors of the emergency room, strolled down the hall and into a dinning room! You have to see this video, it's too cute! Danica Announces She's Making A Move

It has been a highly anticipated announcement, but has now finally been confirmed by Indy race car driver Danica Patrick... she is leaving open wheel racing to compete full time as a NASCAR Nationalwide driver. Over the weekend Kim Kardashian married Kris Humphries in what is considered the wedding of the year, some people are even going so far as to say it is the answer to the Royal Wedding. The Kardashian wedding was over the top in so many ways... everything from Kim wearing 3 wedding dresses, the dress code for guests, and the $20,000 cake that nobody ate. Sugarlands First Show After Disaster In Indiana

Even More Road Construction

You may have heard the news earlier today, the Lansing Bridge that crosses the Mississippi from Desoto Wisconsin to Lansing Iowa is closed until further notice. I know this will be affecting alot of people that commute across the river. For now traffic is being detoured either through Praire du Chien or up through LaCrosse. Apparently there is emergency bridge work that needs to be done after a bridge inspection was completed. I'll keep you posted on any further information.

If It's Not Winter It's Road Construction Season In Wisconsin

Tis the season to see lots of orange cones and detour signs along the road... and there is plenty going on here in the Coulee Region.
*Starting today road construction has begun on Bliss Road in LaCrosse. You may remember that the road to Grandad's Bluff has been closed since last year due to damage from flash flooding. Well starting today the large equipment has rolled in to fix things up. What this means to you.... City of LaCrosse has asked that all vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians stay off of Bliss Road. Many of the dump trucks and equipment will have to back down the hill a longs ways to turn around, and having people to dodge would just make things that much more dangerous. Citations will be issued to anyone who violates the road closure.
But exciting news, the construction should be done sometime in early November!!

Not wasting any time with enjoying her engagement or planning a big wedding, Actress Tara got engaged and married all in the same day. On Saturday Tara and her Danish businessman boyfriend got engaged and just hours later said 'I do'. The shotgun wedding was held in Greece.

Stage Collapse Kills 5 At Sugarland Concert

On Saturday the Indiana State Fair turned from a fun weekend to a deadly event very quickly. On Saturday the weather was hot and dry but as the day progressed predictions of thunderstorms were becoming possible. As it got later into the evening fans who were getting ready to watch country music group, Sugarland, were warned there was a potential for storms and what to do in the event of bad weather. Shortly thereafter at 8:49 a renegade burst of high winds hit the grandstand were Sugarland was about to perform. The stage rigging wobbled and leaned and then eventually collapsed into the crowd. 4 people were killed in the accident and a 5th died at the hospital, with many injured as well. I am amazed how quickly the general public got together and cleared the victims from the wreckage, set up a make-shift hospital and doctors came forward from the crowd. Obama Welcomes G.B. Packers To White House

An honor that every Super Bowl team gets is to travel to the White House and meet the President. This years visit was delayed just a bit due to the NFL lockout, but they made it there today. It wouldn't be football if there wasn't a bit of a friendly grudge, which President Obama did get into just a bit, being he's a Chicago Bears fan. Bret Michaels Sues Cruise Ship

Bret Michaels was scheduled to make two performances on a Shoreline Tours cruise ship this fall. The contract was for 2 shows during the cruise for $750,000, which would be paid in installments through a concert promoter. Then due to some funny business on behalf of the promoter and the cruise ship, they were trying to get Micheals to settle for a much lower fee, of just $350,000 or $400,000 less than agreed!!! With the new Smurfs 3D newly in theaters and doing really well in the box office, it is no surprise that Sony has already green flagged Smurfs 2. Sony has already set a date of August 2nd 2013 for the new movie to hit theaters. No word yet on which actors, if any, will be back for the 2nd edition.

Well by now you have heard that Kim Kardashian has found the love of her life, NBA player Kris Humphries. You've probably also already heard about her HUGE engagement ring, and expensive gift registry... but how about this. The cable network E! is going to devote 4 hours to Kims wedding! The wedding is planned for August 20th, but the wedding special wont air until October and it will be a two part series, 2 days 2 hours each. That is ALOT of Kardashian at one time.
