18th Century Boat Found Under World Trade Center Site
The last thing anyone expected to find 30 feet below ground under the site of the World Trade Center was the hull of a boat. That is was construction workers unearthed this last week, they found large timbers poking through the ground and continued to dig it up. They discovered it's the hull of a boat that was used as part of the fill used back in the 18th century to extend Manhattan to the Hudson River. They are going to carefully continue digging up the boat so an expert can examine it. Click here to read more about the World Trade Center Boat.
