Today Bret Michaels was released from his hospital in Arizona after heart surgery. Michaels had heart surgery on Monday to repair a hole in his heart that was found after he suffered a stroke last year. Woman Tries To Smuggle 44 iPhones In Her Stockings

Airport security noticed a woman walking with difficulty through Israel's International Airport. When the officers questioned her, she said she wasn't feeling well. But all was revealed when she stepped into the body scanner, they found she had 44 new iPhone 4's stuffed into her stockings. She was returning to Israel from London with the intention of smuggling the popular phones into the country, which does make you wonder how she was able to make it that far without being caught. Zsa Zsa Gabor Returns Home After Amputation

After a long year of medical issues, doctors determined the best way to stop an ongoing infection in Zsa Zsa's leg was to amputate. On January 14th doctors removed most of her right leg. Zsa Zsa survived the surgery and surprised doctors by healing well, so much so that they have released her from the the hospital 1 week since the surgery. Michaels Heart Surgery

Today is the day that Bret Michaels is to undergo heart surgery to repair a hole that was found by doctors. The hole was discovered while being treated for his brain hemorrhage last year. The procedure will be done today in Phoenix Arizona. If Bret wouldn't have the repair done he mostly likely could suffer from more strokes and blot clots, he is lucky that doctors caught this condition. Click here for more on his surgery.

Favre Files Retirement Papers

Even though he still has time to change his mind, according to sources Brett Favre filed for retirement from the NFL after his final game. There is no indications that he plans to flip flop on his decision this time, he has already said that 2010 would be his final season, and in a round about way said his goodbyes during recent press conferences. 2010 proved to be one of Favre's worst years with a high number of interceptions, low number of completions and injuries. We also can't forget about the drama that came back to bite him; that being the accusations, investigations and fines due to his harassment charges from his time as a New York Jet.
The legend may finally be ready to hang up his cleats.

Newly Crowned Miss America Is A Teenager

She's not old enough to vote but she received the most votes Saturday night at the Miss America competition, Nebraska's Teresa Scanlan is the youngest to win the honor since 1938. Teresa is only 17 years old and just graduated from high school, but she wowed the judges by having a very mature personality. She graced the stage in a white gown for the evening wear portion, a black bikini for the swimsuit, and tickling the piano keys for talent. Shortly thereafter Miss Nebraska was happily named Miss America. She plans on taking the year off from going to college to be Miss America, then off to college as a law student. NFL Players Shocked By Higher Fines

We've heard about the huge fines players get for causing injuries, fights and unsportsmanlike behavior, but who would have thought they would get fined even more for wearing the wrong brand names? The NFL spells out exactly which brands of equipment and clothing are allowed on the field and a violation of the list will result in a minimum five of $50,000! This memo from the NFL was released to players taking part in the playoffs, and Chris Harris from the Chicago Bears leaked it to the media. True Grit Sets Box Office Records

The first Western since the 90's to reach the $100 million mark is the new movie 'True Grit'. It features Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon. This version on True Grit is a remake of the 1969 movie that stars one of the best actors ever, John Wayne. The storyline is based on a 14 year old girl who hires a lawman (Bridges) to hunt down her father's killer.

From the cast of the new TV show 'Hot in Cleveland' actress Valerie Bertinelli is another actress who made 1/1/11 her wedding date. On New Years Day Valerie married her long time boyfriend Tom Vitale, the ceremony was at their house in Malibu with about 100 people in attendance. Bird Deaths Solved

The people in Beebe Arkansas can rest easy now, knowing the reason behind all the mysterious bird deaths. On New Years Day community members noticed there were alot of dead birds scattered around the neighborhood. Some people skipped to the worst thoughts thinking birds were falling from the sky, but after investigating the real answer is known. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission found that someone was lighting professional grade fireworks in a residential area, which scared a flock of resting birds from their trees. The birds were confused with all the noise and flashing lights in the dark, the the flock actually got lost in flight and hit the ground, signs and buildings at full speed.

Packers Are Playoff Bound!

It was a give and take game on Sunday. A game of great defense and a not as great offense. Either way after a very close game for all four quarters, with a final score of 10-3 the Green Bay Packers pull off a much needed W. The win meant their spot as a wildcard team for the NFC.

We are all hoping to start Post season the same way we started the regular season, with a win against the Eagles. That is who we take on next... The Philly Eagles on Sunday at 3:30, the game with air on FOX. The winner of that game with go on to play the Bears.

Shania Twain Gets Married!

So quickly after Shania announced to the world that she was engaged, she is already married! Her and boyfriend Frederic Thiebaud had a quiet little wedding in Puerto Rico on New Years Day. They had about 40 friends and family members in attendance.
The couple became close following Twains divorce from her long time first husband, producer Mutt Lange. Frederic was married to the woman who Mutt cheated on Shania with. It sounds like a strange version of WifeSwap, but Shania went about her private life with a lot of class and respect.
The New Years Day wedding gave Shania the title of being the first Country Music star to marry in 2011.
