Dale Jr. Knocked Off Pole For Daytona 500

The 'Super Bowl' of NASCAR races is this Sunday, kicking off the 2011 season is the Daytona 500. Starting the year off with some much needed success was Dale Earnhardt Jr, driver for the #88 car. He qualified for the pole position for this weekends Daytona 500, however he was robbed by Martin Truex Jr who tapped Jr. on the rear fender, sending him into the wall destroying his car. Yes Jr. has a backup car so he will be able to race BUT because he has to use a new car he is stripped of his pole position for the Gatorade Duels race tomorrow and the Daytona on Sunday. Click here for Dale's reaction to the crash.
