Video Of Buried Miners Show Good Spirits

The 33 miners that are stuck in the mine in Chile, received a video camera through one of their small supply tunnels. Since then they recorded a video to show what their conditions are like and what they are doing to keep occupied. I was shocked to learn that the mining company that these men work for is doing nothing to rescue them, it turns out the company is almost bankrupt and can't afford the equipment to dig them out, so the government is paying the $1.7 million bill to save them.

Leonard DiCarprio Gets A Restraining Order

Leo was just granted a restraining order against a crazed fan/stalker. Livia Bistriceanu 41, of Chicago has gone to Los Angeles twice and shown up at his house and business office, and refused to leave when security asked her to. She has also written him letters calling him her husband and saying that he is the father to her unborn baby, Jesus.

Leo and Livia have never actually met, but her craziness has motivated Leo to get the restraining order... Ummmm... way smart move Leo.

Miley and Liam met and started dating while they were filming the movie 'The Last Song' in 2009.

I am so not surprised, it would be hard NOT to fall for a guy who plays your boyfriend in a romance movie that is being filmed on a beautiful beach... especially when your 16 years old.
I am also NOT surprised she is single again... she's way too young to settle down.

Rumors have been circulating and most tabloids are convinced that diva Mariah Carey is pregnant. Her and hubby Nick Cannon are keeping a tight lip on the situation, however they have both been super excited about something lately. Mariah was also spotted trying on maternity clothes and photogs say they got a glimpse at her baby bump while she was in concert in Brazil over the weekend. Nick hints but doesn't give any details when he said, "When my wife feels like talking about whatever she want to talk about, you will hear it directly from her."

Cast Members Announced For DWTS

I was less than impressed to hear the line-up for season 11 of Dancing With the Stars. Just announced, David Hasselhoff will be one of the celebs that will be dancing. Also signed up to be a part of the show is 'The Situation" aka Mike from Jersey Shore, and Audrina from "The Hills.
Personally I think that is too many annoying people from different reality shows for one program, I think I'll skip this season.

Kyle Busch... Hated For Being The Best... Again

Kyle Busch made history this weekend, being the first driver to win all three racing divisions in one weekend. Kyle won in the Truck Series, National wide series and Sprint Cup Series races all this weekend in Bristol.
However most drivers would be commended for such a feat, Busch was boo'ed on Saturday night during pre-race to the Sprint Cup race. Mostly because the drama continues between drivers Busch and Brad Keselowski. The two drivers have swapped paint and insults in the past and this weekend was no exception.

Last night on 'The Daily Show' with John Stewart, the two talked of a date they went on back when they were first starting off in their careers.

From what it sounds it was not a good experience... it involved an Italian restaurant, and Aniston inviting anyoneand everyone to join their table and sit between her and John. I'm guessing she just wasn't feelin' his vibe that night.

Madonna Being Sued For 'Material Girl'

Madonna is branching out her empire to include a line of clothing, which she has cleverly named after one of her most famous songs 'Material Girl'. The clothing line is geared towards teenagers. However, stepping in to be the fun-haters is a company called LA Triumph Inc. they say they have been using that name since 1997.

The clothing company has asked a judge to force Madonna to not use the name again and to turn over any profits it has made so far.

*My thought is... if anyone has the right to use the name 'Material Girl' it should be Madonna, and therefore shouldn't the tables be turned... she should sue them for using her song name without permission.

A source very close to American Idol has told E! News that Steven Tyler will be the new judge on American Idol for season 10. Deadline's and Access Hollywood are also confirming this rumor.
Hopefully this new job will keep Tyler safe, being he was knocked off stage again while playing in Toronto on Tuesday.
Rumors are still circulating on who will fill the other open spot at the judges table, some even saying that Jennifer Lopez may still be negotiating.

Kat Von D spilled the beans about her love life on Twitter, then deleted it. Earlier this week Kat countered rumors of her and Jesse James by saying they were just friends. Then today she Tweeted that "and yes, Jesse and I are dating". Then she deleted it.
Usmagazine.com reported seeing them at the Luxor Casino on Sunday holding hands. Kat Von D who is 28 years old and Jesse James who is 41 were also caught cuddling in Las Vegas.

Call The Department Of Defense, Ohio Under Attack By Bedbugs!!

Seriously... the Department of Defense has been called in to try and de-bug the bedbug situation in Ohio. Cincinnati has been hit with a huge outbreak of bedbugs, some homes have even been infected so bad that people are sleeping out on the streets.

There was a meeting held today to try and figure out the safest yet most effective way to kill the bedbugs. The meeting included people from the Center for Disease Control, and yes even the Dept. of Defense. The chemicals that would do the best job at killing the bugs are illegal so the government needs to find someway to make something work.

Luckily the bugs do not carry disease but they are really annoying and creepy and gross.

So just reading this story made me itch... did it give you the creepy crawlies?

Guilty On Only 1 Count... Mistrialed On 23

If you have been following the trial of former Illinois Gov Rod Blagojevich, you know that it has drug on for a very long time. After 11 weeks of being on trial and 14 days of jury deliberation, Rod was only found guilty on 1 count of lying to the FBI. The jury was deadlocked on all other 23 counts of trying to sell a senate seat. Here is the crazy thing, all the jurors agreed on his charges except for one, and she won't budge on her idea of a verdict.

It is another yo yo summer for Brett Favre fans, and non-fans. After hearing rumors that Favre decided to retire (again), oday says something completely different. Today Brett was met in Mississippi by fellow Viking players Ryan Longwell, Jared Allen and Steve Hutchinson... they flew down to personally recruit him to come back. It appears the peer pressure tactic may have worked because Brett got on the plane with them and flew back to Minnesota.

Zsa Zsa Gabor Given Last Rights After Surgery

93 year old actress Zsa Zsa Gabor is in extremely serious condition. In the past few days she has undergone surgery to get two blood clots removed. After the surgery Gabor asked to see a Priest, and she received her last rites.

The latest from her publicist is that Zsa Zsa has left the hospital and has returned to her home in Bel Air.

Mel Gibson, Smashed....His Car That Is

Making headlines again, not for anything good, is actor Mel Gibson. As first reported by TMZ.com last night Mel Gibson smashed his Maserati sports car into a Malibu hillside. He was not injured in the accident, except maybe his pride... course he doesn't have much of that left anyway.

Police on the scene say that alcohol was not a factor in the accident, and that Mel was cooperative and that he was a gentleman.

* Wow Mel Gibson had to deal with the police and no racist statement or drunken babble was included... I wonder why the change?

Paris Hilton Sued For $35 Million

Paris Hilton was surprised when she was hit with a lawsuit for $35 million. Hairtech, a company that makes hair extensions, said that Paris breached her contract with them. They are saying that she did not wear or promote the extensions and did not show up at a launch party in 2007, because she was in jail.
The crazy thing is that the lawsuit is for nearly 10 times more than what they paid Paris to promote them. Hilton's lawyers said that they will not only fight the suit but will probably follow with a countersuit.

Let me set this picture into your mind.... It's early morning, your boyfriend takes you for a walk along the ocean above a rocky jetty, he spots a sand dollar on the pier. You stop to pick it up, when you hear the worst noise you will ever hear... tink, tink tink.
That was the sound of Stacey's $9,000 surprise engagement ring falling from the pier onto the rocky jetty below. Her boyfriend thought he planned out the most romantic proposal ever until that accident occurred. He had tied her ring to the sand dollar but it came loose as she picked it up, and down it fell. 4 Sisters Have 4 Babies Within Four Days

According to MetroSource News this situation was not planned and was totally a coincidence.

On Friday, sisters Saby and Leslie both gave birth within hours of each other in a Chicago hospital. Then on Saturday, the third sister Lilian gave birth at the same Chicago hospital. Finally on Monday (the fourth day), Heidi (the fourth sister) gave birth to the fourth baby in California.
What are the odds?!? Imagine how crazy it will be when their birthdays roll around, at least the dates will be easy for everyone to remember.

Jennifer Aniston Gets Restraining Order

There is a difference between being a fan and being just plain crazy. Aniston was able to get the courts to grant her a restraining order again a stalker who went just a little to far. Jason Peyton is longer allowed to follow around Jennifer, which is a good thing. He was put on a month long psychiatric hold after police detained him on July 20th for following Aniston around Los Angeles. When police searched him, he was found with duct tape, a sharp object and love letters to her. The restraining order is good for three years.

Early this week we talked about how the Northern Lights were very strong on Tuesday but not visible from the lower 48. Tonight is supposed to be another bright night for the light show, and it apparently is visible further south and will be in sight for some of the northern 48 states. Katy Perry In Trouble For 'California Gurls'

Even though the Beach Boys have have gone on record saying they like Katy Perry and her new song 'California Gurls', the record company that owns the rights to that song want her money. Other than the similar spelled title, there is no other similarities between her song and the Beach Boys version. But Rondor Music says different, they are threatening to sue her for the royalties of her big hit, which would set anyone involved with lots and lots of money.

A Lobster Of A Tale

One fisherman has a tale to tell that breaks records and he doesn't even have to exaggerate. Off the coast of Rhode Island, Denny Ingram got quite the surprise when he pulled his lobster pot out of the water. He found that he had caught a rare yellow lobster. The yellow color is a genetic feature that occurs in about 1 in 30 million lobsters. And even better news for the lobster, instead of making his way to the dinner table, he will be kept safe at the Fisherman's Co-op in Newport.

Gina, a highly trained trained bomb sniffing dog went to Iraq to assist soldiers with door to door searches. She performed her job perfectly, but when she returned home she was changed. As soon as she got back to Colorado, she was deathly afraid to go into buildings, hid under furniture and avoided people. Those two grueling weeks have finally come to an end, and I am sure she has learned a valuable lesson from her jail time. Upon her release, Lindsay was driven directly to a rehab facility for the rest of her sentence which is 3 months in rehab.
