Madonna To Set Another Record

She has had one of the most successful music careers in history topping chart after chart for the last 30'ish years and she is about to break another record. Madonnas latest release 'Give Me All Your Luvin' is anticipated to hit the number one spot on the Billboard Dance/Party top 100 list for the week... which means it will be her 41st hit to make number 1! No one is close competition to her... Janet Jackson is the next in line with just 19 number ones.

Another Singing Competition.. Really?

Just when you thought is wasn't possible for any more singing competition shows to be created... well there is yet another one. Coming soon 'Teen Icon'. This competition is open to anyone ages 12-19, and not limited to the US, auditions will be taken from Canada, the UK, South Africa and other English speaking countries. The judges for this show will be Jordin Sparks (made famous from American Idol) Tiffany (80's pop star) Jesse McCartney and a fourth judges who is yet to be announced. No premier date for this show is available yet, but auditions will start in the next few weeks.

Britney Spears is one of the female celebs that have been in the talks with the X-Factors producers. The producers offered her an amazing $10 million dollar contract, which she reportedly has turned down and is holding out for more money... like $20 million!!!! To put this is perspective J-Lo made $12 million for her time on American Idol and Christina Aguilera is doing The Voice for $10 million. I wonder if Fox will dig deep and pay Britney what she wants to be there. However Fox isn't just competing with Britney's offer. Britney is also in talks with Las Vegas to set up residency there as a permanent performer.

We knew she wouldn't stay single long, Katy Perry allegedly has a new guy in her life. She was recently spotted in Paris with French model Baptiste Giabiconi. They were said to be very flirty with each other while sharing laughs and whispers. Even though they were part of a group it was noticed that they stayed very close to each other all night.
Do you think it's fair to assume that any time a newly single woman is seen talking to a new guy that they are dating? Could it just be possible that they really were just talking?

Kelly Clarkson To Join Talent Show... Not American Idol

She may have got to big break from American Idol, but Kelly Clarkson isn't going back to A.I. Instead, Kelly has signed on to be a mentor on yet another singing talent show called Duets. The idea of this show is a little different because the celebs involved are not judges but mentors. The mentors will be traveling around to find people to perform duets with them, each week the contestant will perform with the celeb, hoping to win the grand prize which is a record contract from Hollywood Records. The list of mentors includes Kelly Clarkson, Lionel Ritchie, Robin Thicke and Jennifer Nettles.
I think I am already burnt out on how many 'talent' shows there are in the works.

Another Talent Show...Hmmmm

Yet another singing talent show is on the way. This time Queen Latifah, Gloria Estefan and John Rich are the judges, but this isn't your typical American Idol/X-Factor style show. Instead of holding auditions, the judges are going to travel around the country scouting out their own idea of talent in local performers. The show is going to air on The CW this summer, and there are more judges/mentors to be announced.
I don't know if we necessarily need to have yet another talent show for singing, after so long it seems like they all turn out the same where they become overly (and poorly) scripted "reality" programing. But maybe if they are switching it up on how they find the talent maybe it will be worth looking in to, plus I really like Queen Latifah so I guess we'll see.

Lady Gaga Wants To Be Mommy Gaga?

Can this be right, Lady Gaga is ready to settle down?! Gaga is currently in a relationship with Taylor Kinney from Vampire Diaries. Gaga has reportedly said that she wants to settle down, get married and start a family... but not necessarily in that order. Gaga apparently wants to have a baby in the next year!! Taylor is apparently on board with this idea because he's been quoted saying that he can't wait to be a daddy.
Guess we just have to wait and see if Lady Gaga makes a little monster of her own.

More good things for Avril Lavigne... not only is she in talks to maybe be a new judge for The X-Factor, and she's got a new line of nail art, shoes and clothing on the way- but she is also working on a new album! As she just Tweeted she is also teaming up with someone else we are very familiar with, Nickelbacks Chad Kroeger. Apparently the two are collaborating on a few tracks together...

Britneys Wedding Postponed

Well Britney Spears was going to walk down the aisle sometime in the very near future to marry her fiance Jason Trawick but has decided it best to postpone it until the latest lawsuit against her has been resolved. Currently her former employee Sam Lutfi is suing Britney and her parents for breach of contract and defamation. She has been advised that the wedding should wait until after the court date in September before going through with the wedding.
