More Bad Publicity For New York Jets

Remember the not-so-subtle sideline move that a New York Jets coach Sal Alosi tried to get away with a couple of weeks ago when he tripped a Miami Dolphin player from the sideline? Well it definitely didn't go unnoticed. The NFL has just announced their punishment. The Jets team has been fined $100,000 and Alosi has an addition fine of $25,000 and has been suspended indefinitely.

Snooki Is Denied Ball Dropping Honor

How embarrassing! MTV has sent Snooki home! Apparently the girl from Jersey Shore had dreams as tall as her teased hair. She invited herself and showed up at New York Cities Time Square hoping to drop ball tomorrow night during the MTV's New Years Eve Celebration. MTV denied her the honor of dropping the ball in New York, saying that her plans to do this came in way too late. BUT they have decided to send her home to SeasSide Heights New Jersey so she can have her own little ball drop there. Hef Is Engaged!

It is hard to believe after two previous marriages and falling really hard for Holly Madison, Hugh Hefner is ready to take the plunge again. Over the weekend Hef proposed to girlfriend and Playmate Crystal Harris. Apparently love knows to bounds because there is a HUGE age difference between them, Hef is 84 and Crystal is 24... to put in perspective she is half the age of Hefs children. With the long divorce he went through with his 2nd wife I think it's a fairly safe bet that there will be a pre-nup agreement in the works.

'16 and Pregnant' Helps Drop Teen Pregnancy Rate

I am almost embarrassed to admit this, especially since I'm not very good with kids, I totally love the TV show '16 and Pregnant'. This show has been on MTV for a couple of seasons and it follows teenage girls from pregnancy thru child birth and to how things change after becoming a mom. Every girl on the show has a different story with different upbringing but regardless it shows in a realistic way how difficult being a young mom can be. And the show may even be a positive influence, a government study has been following teen pregnancy rates in the US and it has shown that since the premier of that show, pregnancy rates have dropped. As we can tell from the snow falling as you read this, the game in Minnesota tonight is going to be interesting for sure. Not only has the NFL game been moved from the Metrodome (since the roof fell in) to the TCF Bank Stadium where the Gophers play at U of M. But with bad weather in the forcast (up to 7 inches of snow) both teams better be geared up to play in the snow. He said he is going to get yelled at for telling but he has to be honest with the public and let us know what's going on. The Loss Of Leslie Nielsen

Yesterday we lost one of the best known comedic actors, Leslie Nielsen. He passed away yesterday from complications of pneumonia, he was 84. Leslie was best known for his role as Detective Frank Drebin from the 'Naked Gun' movies. Leslie has been performing for over 50 years in great movies like The Poseidon Adventure, Airplane!, Dracula; Dead and Loving It and Spy Hard.

It is now the Holiday season at the White House, as the official Christmas tree was delivered today. The tree is an 18 1/2 foot Douglas fir that was raised on a tree farm in Pennsylvania. The Christmas tree farm was selected to provide the White House's tree by winning a contest. The First Lady and Daughters accepted the tree today and it will be decorated and placed in the Blue Room.

Super Bowl Halftime Act Announced

Well it was announced yesterday who this years act will be during the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. The Black Eyed Peas have the honor this year. Which is perfect timing for them as the Black Eyed Peas have a new album releasing on Tuesday called 'The Beginning'.
The Super Bowl is coming up on February 6th at the new Dallas Cowboys stadium.

Johnson & Johnson has just announced they will be recalling 9 million bottles of Tylenol. The recall was put into motion when retailers noticed that the bottle wasn't labeled properly. There is no warning that a trace amount of alcohol was used in the flavoring. Less than 1% of alcohol is used in the flavoring product. Even though the alcohol is listed on the back of the bottle, retailers want it listed on the front. Click here for more info.

Did They Find Natalee Holloway?

A new development in the disappearance of American Natalee Holloway is being tested right now. A human jaw bone was found on the beach near a resort in Aruba. Labs are testing it right now to see if it is the remains of Natalee. There was still a molar tooth attached to the jaw bone and they are going to compare it to her dental records. The bone was found on the beach next to the swamp that Joran Van der Sloot said he left her body. Joran Van der Sloot was the last person to see Natalee alive in 2005 and admitted to killing her then retracted his statement. He is currently in jail for the murder of a woman in Peru.
